EPCM projects in a titanium, zircon mine

We are currently developing EPCM project for expansion investment for the Ilmenite mine in Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Vietnam. The assignment includes services for the titanium, zircon mine mining and processing project that will be carried out between 2023 and 2025.

The open PIT and mining processing plant will make it possible to utilize deposit in an economically sensible way, and it will improve our client energy efficiency. The efficiency advantage of the mining combined with the raised production rate will improve the competitiveness of the mine. GMEC as strategic partner to the expansion project of titanium zircon mine based on our successful long term relationship in various demanding projects at the mine with the following achievements:

  • Budget underruns
  • Project schedule was kept accurate
  • Top safety; no serious accidents
  • Planned production capacity was reached.

GMEC role in the project is the entire EPCM delivery, which covered all aspects of design, safety services, procurement, site supervision and start up support. Close cooperation with the client in project management and decision making enabled the project to remain on schedule and on budget.
